The 18-member India squad for the FIH odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup was announced of Friday. Amit Rohidas and Nilam Sanjeep Xess from odisha have been named in the squad led by experienced defender Herman Preet Singh. Amit has been appointed as the vice – captain. The world Cup will be played in Bhubaneswar and Raulkela from January 13 to 29. India has 16 teams participting in Group -D, England and Spain.
The home side kick off the campaign against Spain in Raulkela on the opening day, followed by games against England (15th) and Wales (19th) to finish the league stage.
